The Heart of Florida Senior Games come to Haines City each January, offering the over-55 group a great way to compete and have fun! Hundreds of residents and visitors participate in Olympic-type contests, conducted over a five day period. The Senior Games continue into March with table tennis and basketball events.

Do you want to tantalize your taste buds? If so, come to “Taste of Davenport” or "Taste of the Ridge." Your entry ticket gives you an opportunity to sample the specialties of over two dozen Polk County restaurants and private caterers. The hungry crowd enjoys the variety of food and beverages presented each year.

Celebrating our national independence day is high priority for Haines City & Davenport, prompting the largest day-long events in the County. Into the night, the parks are jam packed with people enjoying non-stop events. Nationally recognized entertainment, family activities, food vendors and car shows keep crows entertained, waiting for the grand finale: Polk County’s largest fireworks displays.

The Annual Pig Roast & Political Rally hosted by the Northeast Polk Chamber of Commerce also attracts state attention and attendance. Held in August for 2024, organizers extend an invitation to all local, county, state and national legislative candidates. With some years attracting as many as 1,000 attendees, the Pig Roast is considered Central Florida’s largest political rally. ​If you haven’t seen snow - here is your chance at Haines City’s “Glitter Glisten and Snow” & Davenport's "Winterfest!" These family events coincide with the City’s annual Christmas Parades where Santa and Mrs. Claus make a special appearance. These two family events feature a photo op with the famous Claus couple, holiday crafts, a variety of entertainment, strolling carolers and SNOW!

The Town of Lake Hamilton offers multiple events throughout the year including: Tree Lighting Ceremony, Trunk or Treat, 4th of July Celebration, & more!
